Süd-Süd-Nord-Wissenschaftler Eliana Pilar Cossio Coca

Eliana Cossio Coca is a university professor. She studied Educational Sciences at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón (UMSS) in Cochabamba, Bolivia. She completed her postgraduate studies at the UNED in Madrid, Spain, earning a Master's degree in Open and Distance Teaching and Learning, and at the universities of Salamanca and Valladolid, Spain. She graduated with a Master's degree in Ibero-American Anthropology, receiving the Extraordinary End-of-Year Award in Anthropology for her thesis, „Amawtismo in Spain: Theory and Practice in the Time of the Warmy Pachakuti.“ She also holds several diplomas and has completed courses in intercultural bilingual education, graphic design, and fine arts. She is a Specialist in Pedagogical Innovation in University Teaching, a diploma awarded by the UMSS Postgraduate Program.

 She has 22 years of experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels within the Bolivian university system, at various universities, faculties, and departments, primarily in the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences at UMSS, UCB, and UNIVALLE. She is a founding professor of the Special Bachelor's Degree Program for In-Service Teachers in Intercultural Bilingual Education, the College of Professionals in Educational Sciences, and the first toy library in Bolivia in 2002. She served as a pedagogical advisor for the first online pre-university course at the Faculty of Science and Technology and is a driving force behind the Ace Tuning project for Latin America. She holds a degree in Education Sciences. She has participated in several government projects focused on environmental and water conservation, as well as in various educational institutions. She also organizes and presents at seminars, conferences, and international and national courses on education.

Currently, she is a professor of learning theories at UMSS; Coordinator and member of the Taypiri Community Cultural Association; and a mediator and pedagogical advisor in several educational institutions. She is also a Wilumi (leader) of the Universal Amawtica School of Choqepaqcha in Tiwanaku, and coordinates the Munay Pukara center, which supports empowered women and conscious youth. She is a core member of the Amawtica Utha Punku House in Santivañez and a P3000 facilitator. She is also part of the Intiwatana Ayllu Foundation.
